Juice Fasting For Weight Loss - Losing weight can be so difficult. Diets can be boring and unless you stick to a rigid regime, you will fail.

It can be very depressing when after 3 or 4 days of being so good even although you know there is a delicious cheese cake in the fridge that suddenly all reason leaves you and you pig out. Often we pig out because our bodies are craving for vital vitamins and minerals which some diets just don't deliver. A juice fast will deliver to you many more of the vitamins that our bodies require than most other diets, as long as you include vegetable as well as fruit juices.

By drinking juice for one day you will allow your body to have a good detox while it adjusts to less food. Clearly by only doing this for one day you are not going to lose much weight. However it is safe to remain on a juice diet for 2-3 days although be aware that you may suffer from a few headaches, bloating or unexpected aches and pains : your body's way of saying it is recovering from all of the chemicals and toxins that supermarket foods contain.

After the maximum 3 days, it's sensible to introduce other foods so your diet is balanced. The plan is to replace breakfast, lunch and supper with a juice and then to have a normal calorie controlled meal at the end of the day.

The Juice Fasting For Weight Loss Plan

Days 1 - 3 : your diet should include 4 juices every day with as much water or herbal tea as you like. Choose from the recipes below to make up your juices or be imaginative and concoct your own.

Drink as much fresh water as you like throughout the day, adding some lemon juice for taste if desired. If you feel the urge to snack try munching a few carrot sticks.


Day 4 :

    breakfast - juice - 1 orange, 1 lemon and 3 carrots - juice : peeled orange and lemon and topped and tailed carrot in juicer before serving.

    Lunch - juice - 1 yellow pepper, 1 red pepper, 1 red chilli - juice together in juicer before serving.

    Dinner - your meal should be made up of 400 calories which include either chicken, fish, pasta, low fat cheese, lentils, beans or nuts. You can indulge in a few potatoes as long as calories allow, and as many green vegetables or salad as you like.

    Supper - juice - 200ml of chilled chamomile tea with a spoonful of honey, 2 lemons and 1cm of fresh ginger - juice the lemons and ginger before adding to the chilled chamomile tea. Serve.

Day 5 :

    breakfast - juice - 1 banana, quater of a watermelon, 1 carton of natural yoghurt and 1 teaspoon of honey. Mix all ingredients together in a blender.

    Lunch - juice - 100g of broccoli, 1 apple, a quater of a cucumber. Juice together before serving.

    Dinner - your meal should be made up of 400 calories which include either chicken, fish, pasta, low fat cheese, lentils, beans or nuts. You can indulge in a few potatoes as long as calories allow, and as many green vegetables or salad as you like.

    Supper - juice - 200g strawberries and 2 oranges. Juice the ingredients together before serving.

Day 6 :

    breakfast - 2 apples, 2 pears, 2 kiwi fruit and 1 celery stick. Juice all the ingredients together before serving.

    Lunch - 4 tomatoes, half of a lemon and 2 sticks of celery. Juice peeled lemon and celery and tomatoes together before serving.

    Dinner - your meal should be made up of 400 calories which include either chicken, fish, pasta, low fat cheese, lentils, beans or nuts. You can indulge in a few potatoes as long as calories allow, and as many green vegetables or salad as you like.

    Supper - 1 mango, half of a yellow melon and 1 carton of natural yoghurt. Juice together the stoned mango and watermelon before mixing with natural yoghurt and serving.

Day 7 :

    breakfast - 1 small beetroot, quater of a cucumber, 1 handful of spinach and 2 apples. Juice the ingredients together before serving.

    Lunch - 200g strawberries, 2 oranges and 1 carton of natural yoghurt. Juice peeled oranges and strawberries together before mixing with the yoghurt and serving.

    Dinner - your meal should be made up of 400 calories which include either chicken, fish, pasta, low fat cheese, lentils, beans or nuts. You can indulge in a few potatoes as long as calories allow, and as many green vegetables or salad as you like.

    Supper - 100g cauliflower, 1 tomato and 2 carrots. Juice ingredients together before serving.

On Days 8 and 9 : you should slowly come off our juice fasting for weight loss diet by replacing your meals and drinking juice at breakfast and supper and eating a light lunch of around 300 calories and dinner of 400 calories.
